Report : Funding sources, income and expenditure

DEFINITION OF WORDS

First, I found definitions from dictionary.

  • Funding is money which a government or organization provides for a particular purpose.
  • Income is the money that they earn or receive, as opposed to the money that they have to spend or pay out.
  • Expenditure is the spending of money on something, or the money that is spent on something.
  • Budget is the amount of money that you have available to spend.

Our purpose is making a website to promote Seoul for young British visitors.

To make a website successfully, budget is very important work.

If I don’t budget, my project can be fail.

So, from now on, I will study funding, income and expenditure again.

FUNDING

-This is money which has a specific purpose.

-There are two kinds of funding. Income and expenditure.

INCOME

-This is money which I get. This money is needed to make products.

-I can get money in many ways.

#Here are some examples :

  • Being paid to do the job.
  • Private funding.
  • Corporate funding.
  • Public funding.
  • Selling advertising.
  • Selling your product.

-In my case, I have joined a crowd funding few months ago. I paid my money to publish a book. It was a very great experience to me, so I will use crowd funding to get income.

EXPENDITURE

-This is money have to pay for achieve a goal.

-It can be used for hire, buying equipments, buying a license of music, photo, and anything else.

#Here are some examples :

  • Pay for freelance experts of many fields.(Photographer, programmer, designer, etc.)
  • Buying equipment(It can be a camera, software, computer and others.)
  • Buying licences(Pay for using images and musics.)
  • Insurance(It can help us when we have problems or big and small accidents.)
  • Materials(We may need to prepare materials.)
  • etc.(And else, there are many kinds of expenditure. Transportation expenses, food expenses, electric charge, communication charge, etc.)
